Sometimes musicians only need one name to pack a huge punch and Lissie is no exception.

You may have heard one of her badass covers of Fleetwood Macs “Go Your Own Way” or Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” on TV but Lissie’s third album “My Wild West” is a sound all her own.

There doesn’t seem to be much room for the Girl with a Guitar sound on pop radio these days.  But we are willing to search high and low to find the sound Lissie is cranking out. “My Wild West” is more pop-folk than Ed Sheeran could even imagine. Lissie fills each track with emotionally driven vocals no matter how hard the beat hits.

Pitchfork says of Lissie’s last two albums,  “Had Catching a Tiger or follow-up Back to Forever been released in the ’90s, when this sort of thing was as mainstream as pop got, Lissie might have been a star and would have deserved it.”  Without a doubt a talented artist, Lissie just can’t seem to catch her big break. Hopefully, “My Wild West” will catch the attention of a larger audience. But if not, we are more than happy to be a part of Lissie’s secret fanclub.
