five favorites: beat the heat
Along the lines of heat protection and nurturing your hair, New Talent member Lo accomplished amazing feats this week in her coloring endeavors! Her client Brittani walked into the salon with hair that was naturally extremely dark brown – what colorists refer to as a Level 2. Lo was able to preserve the integrity of Brittani’s hair, however, by bringing her color to a gorgeous vibrant red without using any lightener! This means that Brittani’s hair will suffer far less damage from the chemical processing that normally goes into hair coloring, and will enjoy this eye-popping red color without worrying about breakage or dryness! To aid in this protection even further, we recommend Bumble and bumble’s Hairdresser’s Oil Primer and shampoo/conditioner line, which is specifically designed to safeguard hair from styling damage and add moisture. For a finishing touch, try Sine Essentials‘ own Everything Oil, which will help lock in moisture and leave hair smelling and feeling healthy and wonderful, like Brittani’s. Way to go, Lo!
The New Talent program wasn’t the only superstar section of Sine Qua Non this week, either! In the spirit of teamwork and excellent ‘do’s, Andersonville stylist Brad and West Town stylist Mischa teamed up to deliver an alluring new look for Andersonville stylist Jac! Famous for her green streaked ebony locks, Jac decided that she was ready for a big change, and Brad and Mischa did not let her down. Mischa accomplished some expert coloring magic and transformed Jac’s dark/green tinged ends to a stunning lighter brown, worked in a balayage up to gradually blend at Jac’s darker roots. The result is subtle enough to ease Jac into this end of summer look, but gorgeous enough to still turn heads. To finish this off, Brad gave Jac a trim to eliminate the damaged bits and embrace the layered ends that Jac was already rocking. This cut helps showcase the outstanding color that Mischa created, and ensures that Jac’s 2016 autumnal equinox will be commemorated with a hairdo to remember.
Last but absolutely not least, Sine Qua Non has the utmost honor of highlighting the fashion success that our team showcased at the recent nuptials and subsequent partying of our Operations Director and badass supreme, Regan. While no one outshone the bride, Team Sine Qua Non made no mistakes in bringing it when it came to couture at this blessed celebration.
A particular shout out goes to Lakeview stylist Josie, who not only dressed to kill for the event, but sported a glamorous braided updo that West Town stylist Jessi perfected for her before the shindig. Jessi’s work demonstrates that beautiful braids are not just for the long-haired mavens among us (indeed, Josie’s own cut does not fall much further than her shoulders), and that with the proper styling, fishtails are no longer for music fests alone. Our gratitude to Jessi for contributing to Josie’s gorgeous look that night, and to Regan for including the Sine Qua Non family in her beautiful day!
