HEATHER
Why Sine Qua Non?
Sine Qua Non has amazing access to education. I never want to be a place in my career where I feel like I’m not learning. Also the people! The people who work here are not only very talented and multifaceted but also very kind and supportive. I feel truly blessed to be working here.
What is your favorite cut or color to do?
I love doing lived in cuts for us low maintenance types, I think right now I’m loving curly bobs. For color I love creating natural-looking sun-kissed blondes.
What do you do for creative inspiration?
I do my best to keep up on social media as well as educational platforms to see what other stylists are doing. I also love to do mannequin work at home to experiment and try new techniques out.

OWEN
Why Sine Qua Non?
Without ever actually saying it, it’s actually a really punk-rock salon. We all hold ourselves to a high standard and care about our craft, but we also know how to have fun.
What is your favorite cut or color to do?
Right now I’m really loving bobs that have a natural swing and a really strong line with built-in texture. In terms of color I love it all, but lived-in blonding is what I feel like everyone wants, and is really artistically inclined.
What do you do for creative inspiration?
I definitely pay attention to trends and modern art because those play a role with the way we view society and the way we view hair.
