THE SINÉ LAB

Siné Essentials was conceived when Laura and Brad openly expressed their passion to find a healthier and progressive way to use products that are safer for humans and the Earth. Ingredients found in your store-bought hair products can cause damaging effects on personal health and beauty as well as the environment. Converting Laura’s garden level of her bungalow, Brad went to work in The Siné Lab before a day of styling at Sine Qua Non Salon and during coveted weekends.

It took about two years to perfect the Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner, the Everyday Shampoo & Conditioner and the Everything Oil. A forager for beauty, Brad handpicked and sourced each ingredient to create the unique blend for all the products now available in all Sine Qua Non Salon locations and on the website. Brad would have the talented Sine Qua Non Salon stylists use the product on themselves and on clients to retrieve feedback, tweak the functionality and efficacy to support the demands of the stylists and go back to the “scent” board to fine-tune the texture and fragrances of each product. While being the beauty liaison, Laura had the scent palette to guide Brad to nail the fragrance of the essential oil blends. Each bottle is hand-created, poured and perfected by Brad himself, taking two days to make and bottle for sale.

Siné Essentials On The Road:

Brad and Sine Qua Non Salon Stylist, Mischa, will be taking a 10-day road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles on the historic Route 66 to get inspiration for the next wave of the Siné Essentials product line. Many of the ingredients used in the Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner, the Everyday Shampoo & Conditioner and the Everyday Oil were inspired by trips made during the two year process. The sage used in the Everyday Shampoo was inspired by a weeklong backpacking trip along Sage Creek in the Badlands of South Dakota. The main fragrance, neroli, in the Everything Oil was found in a small boutique in San Francisco. Brad became obsessed with the scent and researched the oil, finding amazing calming properties and just had to use it.

Siné Essentials is available in all Sine Qua Non Salons and you can order it online! We also have the special SINÉMOBILE – a 1976 Chevy Malibu, in clean, tip-top shape and ready to deliver Siné Essentials to boutique vendors in the city of Chicago! Standard shipping is also available.

Policies

CANCELLATION AND PAYMENT POLICY
At Sine Qua Non, we know things happen. In order to ensure that we can accommodate all of our guests needs, we require that you give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

We are unable to hold any appointment without a valid credit card on file. If you cancel without 24 hours notice or no show for your appointment, a charge equal to 50% of your service and will be charged to your card.

ADJUSTMENT TO SERVICES POLICY
Our goal is complete happiness with your fresh cut and color. If you need an adjustment service, they are free within 2 weeks from your original appointment, preferably with your original stylist. If a refund is requested, our policy is: Call and schedule an assessment with management within 2 weeks of your service. You must come into the salon, so we can see the problem in person. If you received an adjustment at a different salon or cannot stop by so we can see your hair, we will not refund your services.

PRODUCT RETURN POLICY
It is important to us that you are totally happy with your purchase. Product returns must happen within 30 days of purchase, be accompanied by a store receipt (and we can view in your client file) and the product must be nearly full. If you paid by credit card, you may receive a credit on your card. We are a completely cashless business.

LATE POLICY
We are committed to giving you the best one-on-one service available. If you are more than 15 minutes late, and we are unable to give you the attention you deserve, we ask that you reschedule your appointment for another day or with an available stylist.
