Why did you become a hairdresser?

I really enjoy interacting with people, the personal connection. And I love having a creative outlet– hair is the creative expression of that person and I get to be a part of that.

What is your current favorite haircut or color to do?

I love a soft and natural, but cool blonde. Like kind of a marshmallow color, I’m really into that blonde. For some reason I love to associate hair color with food names, I also love to cook. I also love shaggy haircuts– a strong bang with really piece-y face framing bits. I’m really inspired by the Instagram accounts @edosalon and @goodbyehorsegirl.

What do you do for creative inspiration?

Even just the simple things, like going for a walk and looking at the nature around me or the architecture of places. I take a lot of inspiration from things that aren’t hair related. Also any sort of creative thing I can do with my hands, I love to do. I’ve been making pom poms lately!
