If a team is only as strong as its weakest link then its never had a Nina..

Today we are featuring Nina, better known as Nina Marie Masse and sometimes known as Nein.

Nina is a lot of things to Sine. She is, for starters, the manager at our Lincoln Park location. She also is in charge of our education program. (If you ever need a free haircut or a discounted color with one of our stylist-in-training, click here). She is also often behind a computer working on Sine graphics, photoshop and other computer stuff that makes our heads hurt.

Basically, we love Nina because she makes our lives run as smoothly as possible and all while looking stunning.

So we sat down and asked her a few questions because we felt you guys needed to know more about her and discover what makes Nina so wonderfully Nina.

 

SQN: How long have you been at Sine Qua Non Salon?

NMM: I’ve been at Sine for 5 years!! It’s been the longest most successful relationship of my life.

SQN: Where did you come from? 

NMM: I’m originally from Mundelein (northern suburb) the most unexciting place in the world

SQN: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? 

NMM:  If I could live anywhere in the world I would live in Middle Earth, more specifically in Rivendell..that’s a real place, right? Otherwise I would be just as happy living in a year round Renaissance Faire…also, if you know where I can find a year round Renaissance Faire, please let me know. (anyone?)

SQN: Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?

NMM: My fashion inspiration is Jackie Onassis if she were a student in the house of Slytherin at Hogwarts. (yes, this is a Harry Potter reference)

SQN: Where is favorite place when not at Sine?

NMM: When I’m not at work I like to garden in my garden and go to the zoo or museums

SQN: So, what’s a little unknown fact about Nina Marie Masse?

NMM: Little known fact: I have a room in my house dedicated to my collection of embalmed insects and animals that I have taxidermied. YEAY SCIENCE!

Policies

CANCELLATION AND PAYMENT POLICY
At Sine Qua Non, we know things happen. In order to ensure that we can accommodate all of our guests needs, we require that you give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

We are unable to hold any appointment without a valid credit card on file. If you cancel without 24 hours notice or no show for your appointment, a charge equal to 50% of your service and will be charged to your card.

ADJUSTMENT TO SERVICES POLICY
Our goal is complete happiness with your fresh cut and color. If you need an adjustment service, they are free within 2 weeks from your original appointment, preferably with your original stylist. If a refund is requested, our policy is: Call and schedule an assessment with management within 2 weeks of your service. You must come into the salon, so we can see the problem in person. If you received an adjustment at a different salon or cannot stop by so we can see your hair, we will not refund your services.

PRODUCT RETURN POLICY
It is important to us that you are totally happy with your purchase. Product returns must happen within 30 days of purchase, be accompanied by a store receipt (and we can view in your client file) and the product must be nearly full. If you paid by credit card, you may receive a credit on your card. We are a completely cashless business.

LATE POLICY
We are committed to giving you the best one-on-one service available. If you are more than 15 minutes late, and we are unable to give you the attention you deserve, we ask that you reschedule your appointment for another day or with an available stylist.
