As the year winds down, we have time to reflect on all the musical trends that have come and gone this past year. We try to play a variety of music across our four locations, with 29 stylists there’s no shortage of taste. Here is the list of Music We Loved in 2015!
Here’s a look at what we’ve been jamming to this past year:
Carl stylist and barber
Carl, Stylist, Sine Qua Non – Lincoln Park
If you find yourself listening to the coolest sounding music ever at our Lincoln Park location, there’s a good chance Carl put it on. The Internet made waves this year by insisting to be taken seriously as Alternative R&B amidst critics telling them that genre doesn’t exist. We at Sine Qua Non support fellow artists that march to the beat of their own drum.
Paige out and about
Paige is always there to help our stylists give you the best possible service, so it is no surprise she has great taste in music! Melanie Martinez was a contestant on the third season of The Voice where she brought her electronic stylings to a wider audience. Paige always stays upbeat no matter what and Martinez’s sound will help anyone get there!

As Location Manager and Education Director, Nina, perfectly balances the needs of everyone around her. With Drake and Future by her side and in her ears there is nothing Nina can’t manage!

“FKA Twigs and Shannon and the Clams“
Dahlia is a very creative stylists who loves collaborating with other artists. FKA Twigs brings high fashion and high art together to make beautiful music, definitely one of the best artists from this year. And it is no secret how we feel about Shannon and the Clams. They always set the perfect vibe at our West Town Location.
